The leading actor in this film is a mountain: the “Drei Zinnen” in the italian Dolomites one of the most known landscapes in the Alps.

More than 100 years ago the 3 mountain peaks were totally unknown. But within a few decades – between the end of the 19^th and beginning of the 20^th century – these three mountain peaks rose to be icons of the landscape. How did this happen?

The movie tells the story of a mass-media success: the transformation of the landscape “Drei Zinnen” into a natural momument and medial production on the stage of war. A to the core exceptional story from another point of view.
